Following the Covid restrictions of recent years. the Hall is fully open for all of our usual activities. As suggested by Health professionals, the leaders of some activities may consider it appropriate to suggest the wearing of facemasks or social distancing - the regular use of hand sanitisers is still strongly recommended.

However, at the moment parties/dances will be restricted to a maximum of 50 people. This may be reviewed upon request.

Naturally if there are any new Government guidelines or restrictions applied this is subject to change.Following a support grant from the HS2 Community and Environment Fund we now have excellent new toilet facilities and smart entrance hallway. Work now starts on the next phase which will include a better access toilet for wheelchair users.

The Hall is equipped with Hyperfast 900Mbps Broadband by Gigaclear. This is free to use by users of the Hall using the password displayed in the Hall Entrance.

The Chacombe Village Hall Committee have been reviewing the tariff of hire charges following the significant costs increase we have been experiencing recently, particularly in respect of our electricity charges which have increased astronomically.  We have not increased our hire charges for over 3 years, but sadly we must do so now as a response to our increased outgoings.

We are aware that we are not alone in suffering these cost increases, and that you will also be feeling the pinch right now, and as a result we have decided to phase the increased charges in over two years to try to help with the impact on our hiring groups. 

It may be that in a year’s time, the global situation may have stabilised and costs diminished so that the second increase may be reduced, or even in an ideal world not be necessary at all – we will review the position then before implementing any further increase.
